  • Qing Zhang comes from China. She was born into a family with a strong tradition of Chinese Medicine, learning from her mother and aunt since the time she was a little girl. She then studied Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture at the Beijing Railway Medical College, Jilin University and Beijing Chinese Medical University.

    After her training, she worked in a hospital in China for eight years before coming to England. There she joined a team of acupuncturists for anaesthesia, working in operations at the hospital and completed many operations successfully using acupuncture for anaesthesia from acupuncture for operations. She was also taught by Professor Liu Gui Chun, who had over 40 years’ experience working in the Acupuncture Department at the Ren Min hospital of the Beijing Medical School.

    In 1989, Qing Zhang came to Southampton in the UK, and she started working at the Eastleigh Osteopathic and Acupuncture Clinic for a few years, before she began to run a busy Chinese Acupuncture and Herbal Clinic in Southampton. She is a member of the British Acupuncture Council and is also a member of the Association of Tradition Chinese Medicine.
